3 WAYS TO CREATE A SUSTAINABLE BEDROOM
We’re dedicated to minimising the impact our modern throwaway culture has on the planet, which inspired us to share with you a few conscious ways you can make one of our favourite rooms in the home more sustainable.
MAKE IT LAST A LIFETIME
Choose pieces of furniture and decor for your bedroom which will last the test of time and allow you the freedom to evolve your personal style without having to purchase new items whenever you decide on a new look for your bedroom.
This is something we’re really passionate about and is why we offer a lifetime guarantee on materials and craft for all Totem Road products.
INVEST IN YOUR SLEEP
According to the National Sleep Foundation, a good mattress will last 9 to 10 years, which makes it something worth researching and investing in. We recommend selecting a mattress which is made from natural, organic materials which are sustainably sourced.
Our Natural Organic Latex Mattress is made from 100% Napure Latex and is free from any harmful or toxic substances as certified by Eco-INSTITUT. It’s quality design allows for long lasting results, which means that you can enjoy your mattress for up to 25 years.
UNDERSTAND THE PROCESS
It is important to ask questions around the process it takes to create your furniture before you choose to purchase it. As not all furniture is designed and created equally, with the environment in mind.
We source fully sustainable White Oak to make our authentic furniture. All of our wood is select logged to support regeneration, biodiversity and the protection of native fauna. With every last piece of wood being utilised in our manufacturing, this results in some of the lowest wastage percentages in the industry.
