COASTAL STYLE
This week the Totem Road design team has put together a classic beachside dining setting that’s fresh, elegant and easy to put together.
Here are our top quick tips on how you can get this Coastal Dining style.
SEATING
We love to mix it up with eclectic seating, if done with finesse this can make a real design statement.
In this setting arrangement we have used as a foundation our Luxa Dining Table with white legs and added a Luxa Bench; an ideal way to create additional seating to accommodate unexpected guests. We love Thonet’s timeless Le Corbusier B9 chair in white, we have scattered these to add an element of sophistication and style, and by contrasting them with the raw natural elements of our Totem stools the combined result is an elegant and luxurious setting that remains relaxed and informal .

COLOUR PALETTE
A beach side dining setting naturally calls for a fresh and light colour palette. We have opted for classic blues and whites – a nautical inspired theme running subtly through this setting with added accents of copper in the cutlery and naval pin-striped napkins.
NATURAL ELEMENTS
Natural textures and fibres are essential elements to create a sense of wellbeing, as invariably these raw elements connect us to nature through our visual and tactile sensory experiences. We love the unique quality of hand-made ceramics, the raw finishes and slight imperfections add character and style and have used vases from Zakkia and plates from our friends at Commune to create this setting. White flowers, a touch of natives and miniature pineapples are a beautiful way to put the finishing touches on this fresh setting.
CRYSTALS
A signature element in our styling, no Totem Road table would be complete without the placement of crystals. For this table we have selected Celestite, and placed it centrally to promote enhanced consciousness.
We hope you have enjoyed these style tips from our design team!
