What design elements did you consider when creating your perfect home and workspace?

My interiors style both at home and at our new AOL HQ in Sydney is very minimal, relaxed and pared back. I love fresh white walls and I prefer to add warmth through texture and tones rather than lots of colours! Less is more for me. For our HQ I wanted the space to feel welcoming and inspiring - somewhere that felt like home with breakout areas like the lounge & dining table so the team can move around the space as they please.

How do you make sure a space feels just how you'd like it?

I always want a space to feel warm and welcoming. Somewhere that you can relax but feel inspired and motivated. Natural light is massive for me and where possible I love high ceilings.

Why do Totem Road pieces work with your aesthetic and workspace needs?

I loved picking Totem Road pieces for our new Sydney HQ. Adding the beautiful solid oak tones added warmth naturally to our space.

I’m very picky with wood tones too and Totem Road always has the perfect light wood. In terms of the actual styles - I selected twoIsabel Desks for our online team that has a handy draw perfect for storing and organising all our letters and accessories for the monogramming machines.

I also added a beautifulLuxa Rectangle Dining Table to the space which has multi-functional purposes being a break-out area for the team to work, a meeting table & more.

What do you love most about Totem Road?

My motto with furniture (& most things in life to be honest) is quality over quantity. I prefer to invest in pieces that are designed and made with purpose and can last for a long time. Totem Road do this so well, their designs are timeless, made sustainably and I love that the designs also compliment a range of spaces and interior styles.

What are your secrets to living an organised life?

My top tips:

Prioritise, prioritise, prioritise
Utilise to-do lists and a Diary to your advantage to manage your workload & schedule daily.
Always look ahead. Being proactive rather than reactive.
Set goals - personal, professional & financial. Create an action plan & small monthly tasks that help you get towards your big goals so that you ensure you tick them off.
Pick 1 day each week that you set aside 30 minutes or so to organise the small things. Meal Planning, Grocery List (I'm a fan of ordering online), Outfits for the week, Fitness Schedule, etc.
Learn to say no - your time is precious - don't over commit.
Overestimate rather than underestimate. Allow more time to complete projects or tasks rather than too little time. Having a buffer is key. Life can be unpredictable!
