FSC® Certified Timber

FSC® certified, which stands for the Forest Stewardship Council®, is a certification system co-founded by WWF (World Wildlife Fund). An FSC® chain of custody means that the timber comes from a forest that is responsibly managed. Trees in the certified forests are grown and harvested according to a strict set of guidelines that benefit the environment. All of the wood we use at Totem Road comes with a fully documented chain of custody of the journey from the forest to the furniture that ends up in your homes.

100% Sustainable Oak

Our timber furniture is made from select-logged, sustainably sourced oak, known for its strength, character, and long life. Every piece features unique grain detail, reflecting the natural beauty of the wood. We use every last cut in our process, resulting in some of the lowest timber wastage in the industry and helping protect biodiversity and native ecosystems.

Conscious Packaging

Our commitment to sustainability is seen throughout the entire process from factory to furniture, including how our pieces arrive to your homes. Totem Road is securely packed in fully recyclable and biodegradable packaging and won’t contribute to landfill or harm the environment. It comes at a cost to us, but cheaper petrochemical-based packaging such as polystyrene, has a large manufacturing footprint, contains toxic substances and has little to no biodegradability.

Offering minimal partner disturbance, a 100% Australian Wool Topper for added comfort, these mattresses great for everyone, but particularly those sensitive to synthetics, dust or suffer from asthma or hayfever.

Second Lagos Bed

In 2021, I purchased a Lagos King bed. After moving, I found it was too big for my new space, so I passed it on to my son. After about nine months of debating, I finally bought another Lagos bed—this time in a Queen size. It fits perfectly in my room, and with the mattress, it’s a flawless combination.

Beautifully Made that screams out quality

Solid, beautiful materials, not some cheap veeneer like most other companies. This lowline style bed is both functional and practical. Arrived well packed with plenty of protective materials and easy to assemble.

A beautiful bed

This is a beautiful, solid bed. I haven’t styled it yet so haven’t uploaded a photo, but it will go perfectly with the minimalist, serene style I am after. It is very well made and was quite simple to put together. I think there were some errors in the instructions so it did take longer to put together than it would have, as once I worked it out it was quite simple. With the delivery, the drivers were planning to just leave it at the ground floor, even though there was a lift. I am glad they did assist in bringing it up the lift.

Gorgeous and Comfortable

The finish on this bed is beautiful and the frame itself is super comfortable. Very happy with my purchase.
